You can call me Alexa...
My name is Monica Alexa, but you can call me Alexa. I am the founder and lead planner of Alexa Blanco Weddings. I will be your guide, consultant and friend throughout this amazing adventure.
Lead Wedding Planner
I consider myself to be very energetic, enthusiastic and fun.
My favorite thing to do when I'm not working is to enjoy my beautiful Island; beaches, rivers, mountains, good food, amazing views...you name it, Puerto Rico has it all!
Since the beginning of my career I’ve worked diligently to provide each client with a unique experience during this important time in their lives.
After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Advertising, I certified myself as event coordinator by the University of the Sacred Heart.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity of planning local weddings, destination weddings, anniversary parties, intimate weddings, “elopements” and engagement sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have designed an organized and efficient planning process that will allow you to enjoy every second of this journey, without having to sacrifice your time, nor your peace of mind.
We'll start with the virtual consultation meeting, in which we'll get to know you better and learn more about the vision you have for your big day. From there on, we'll literally take care of everything for you, and keep you updated on all the important details and decisions.
We'll be sure to provide clear guidance, creative ideas, effective communication, transparency and professionalism through out this whole process.
Absolutely! After discussing your expectations, we'll go ahead and contact our best team of vendors and share their proposals with you. You'll be in charge of all the decision making, while our job is to provide the vendor options that best suit your needs and budget.
The average wedding planner usually manages 15-20 weddings per year. We prefer to manage 1-15 weddings. This number allows us to dedicate more time and attention to each wedding, and create more memorable experiences for each of our couples.
Yes! A venue coordinator works for the venue, while the wedding planner works for you. The venue coordinator will be dealing with all the aspects of the venue such as set up, the staff and food, but we'll be there to oversee the set up from all vendors, assist you in anything you may need, answer any questions, take care of any problems, and to make sure everything is exactly as you wanted it to be.
To further safeguard residents and visitors, all arriving passengers must comply with the following measures before arriving in Puerto Rico:
- Complete an online Travel Declaration Form from the Puerto Rico Health Department, which can be accessed at www.travelsafe.pr.gov or www.viajaseguro.pr.gov. Kiosks at the airport are also available for travelers to fill out the form upon arrival, as it is a requirement to exit the airport.
- Demonstrate a negative molecular COVID-19 test result (which consists of a nasal or throat swab), taken no more than 72 hours prior. Testing sites on the mainland U.S. can be found here. It is highly recommended to get tested prior to arriving on the Island given limited resources.
- Obtain Airport Exit Confirmation number and QR Code, which travelers will automatically receive when uploading their molecular test results to the Puerto Rico Health Department’s online portal.
